What is paper tape?

As the name suggests, paper tape is made up of adhesive and paper. It can be used for multiple applications but most commonly is used for the closure of transit cartons.

As a paper based material it goes without saying that our paper tapes are better for the environment that the polymer based alternative. For hand applications we can offer 50mm(2 inch) or 75mm (3 inch) tape widths and these can be provided on core sizes of 38mm although the standard is 75mm.

Our paper tapes can be printed in up to 3 colours so you can take the opportunity to bring your brand to life.

Minimum order volumes start from just 72 units.

Reinforced Paper Tape

For the more demanding of applications we can also offer nylon reinforced paper tapes. Available in the same white or natural brown material, and with the ability to be printed in up to 3 colours, our reinforced paper tapes are commonly used when the load within any given box is very heavy. The addition of nylon thread within the length of the tape prevents the paper from splitting and helps to secure even the heaviest of cartons in transit.

As our reinforced paper tape is available with either hotmelt or rubber adhesive the adhesion in both cases can be guaranteed.

Machine paper tape

For those that are wanting a high performance paper machine tape for automated applications for a more consistent seal we are able to offer a range of solutions.

Available in a white bleached paper or a natural brown kraft paper the reels are 500 meter long roll, 48mm in width. Typically supplied as 60gsm with the option for hotmelt or rubber adhesive our machine tape can be printed in up to three colours.

What’s more for the most demanding of applications we can also offer reinforced longitudinal fibre glass threads to ensure our paper machine tape can handle even the most demanding of applications. Characterized by the high tack formula. Suitable for heavy weight box sealing with manual dispensers or automatic carton sealing machines.
